Carlos R. Quezada was named Chief Executive Officer of Carriage Services in June 2023, bringing over three decades of leadership and operational expertise. Since joining the Company in 2020 as Vice President of Cemetery Sales and Marketing, he has held several key roles, including Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and President. Prior to Carriage Services, Mr. Quezada was a Managing Director at Service Corporation International (SCI) from 2009 to 2020, where he played a pivotal role in sales and operations. His career also includes leadership roles such as CEO, President, COO, and CMO for privately held multiunit entities in the hospitality industry. Renowned for his ability to transform organizations, he is passionate about enhancing customer experiences and fostering innovation. Mr. Quezada holds a Master’s in Management from Tulane University and an MBA in Finance from Universidad Francisco Marroquín.

Steven D. Metzger serves as our President and Chief Operating Officer, leading our Operations, Sales, Marketing and Corporate Development teams. Mr. Metzger joined the Company in May 2018 and previously served as the Company’s President and Secretary since June 2023. Prior to that, he served as the Company’s Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Secretary from June 2021 until his promotion in June 2023. Prior to joining Carriage, Mr. Metzger served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for a publicly traded company in the restaurant industry. Prior to that, he spent seven years with Service Corporation International (“SCI”) where he served in various leadership roles including Managing Counsel for the Legal Department and Chief Compliance Officer for SCI’s registered investment advisor. Mr. Metzger began his career as a litigator at a Houston law firm and received both his B.A. in Government and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin.
John Enwright joined Carriage in January 2025 and serves as our Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, leading our Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, Information Technology and Supply Chain teams. Prior to joining Carriage, Mr. Enwright most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer for Edible Brands, LLC. in 2024. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Vera Bradley, Inc., a publicly traded retail company and leading designer of women’s handbags, luggage, and other accessories (“Vera Bradley”), from 2017 to 2023, leading its financial reporting, financial planning, M&A, treasury, real estate, investor relations and supply chain activities. Prior to 2017, Mr. Enwright served as Vera Bradley’s Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis from 2015 to 2017, where he was responsible for financial planning and analysis and forecasting. Prior to joining Vera Bradley, he was Director of Finance – Americas for Tiffany and Company, where he held various roles of increasing responsibility from 1999 to 2014, which included leading, executing and advising on financial planning and analysis, treasury and continual business improvement activities. Mr. Enwright has an M.B.A. in Finance from Seton Hall University and a B.S. in Accounting from Montclair State University.

Sam A. Mazzu, III currently serves as the Company’s Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Mr. Mazzu joined Carriage in November 2019 as Legal Counsel and most recently served as the Company’s Managing Director of Legal, Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary from February 2024 until his promotion. Prior to that, he was Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary for Carriage from 2023 to 2024 and Senior Legal Counsel from 2022 to 2023. Prior to joining Carriage, Mr. Mazzu spent over twelve years with Marathon Oil Corporation where he served in various legal roles including Senior Attorney in the Corporate and Finance group of the Legal Department. Mr. Mazzu began his career as in-house legal counsel for Marathon Oil in 2007 and received his B.B.A. in Finance and International Business from Baylor University and his Juris Doctorate from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Shane T. Pudenz serves as our Vice President of Sales and joined Carriage in October of 2020. Prior to joining Carriage, Mr. Pudenz worked in several roles at Service Corporation International from 2012 to 2020 where he successfully lead multimarket sales organizations as Sales Director in addition to other roles he held prior. Mr. Pudenz has a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications from Grandview University in Des Moines, IA.

Christine Ngo currently serves as our Vice President of Human Resources. Ms. Ngo joined the Company in November 2014 and has held several leadership roles within the Human Resources Department. Prior to her current appointment, she served as Managing Director of Human Resources from February 2024. Her previous experience at Carriage includes tenures as Director of Human Resources from 2023 to 2024 and Human Resources Manager from 2021 to 2023. Before transitioning into human resources, Ms. Ngo’s professional background was in Marketing, with a focus on market and demographic analytics. Ms. Ngo received her B.B.A in Economics and B.A. in English from Texas Christian University.

Alfred White currently serves as the Company’s Vice President of Marketing. Mr. White joined the Company in January 2022 and previously served as Managing Director of Marketing from 2024 to 2026 and Director of Marketing from 2022 to 2024. Prior to joining Carriage, Mr. White served as Marketing Director at Consolidated Services of North America and, prior to that, held marketing leadership roles with Cameron International. Earlier in his career, he served in sales with Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. and began his career in marketing with the J. Walter Thompson Advertising Agency. Mr. White received his B.S. in Marketing and International Finance from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.

Shawn R. Phillips joined Carriage in September 2007 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in February 2017. He had served as our Regional Partner – West from 2007 to 2011 and currently serves as the Regional Partner – Central. Prior to joining Carriage, Mr. Phillips served from 1983 to 2007 in various leadership and operational roles with other publicly traded funeral and cemetery service companies. From 1979 to 1983, Mr. Phillips worked for an independent funeral operator. Mr. Phillips is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer and a graduate of the Mortuary Science Program at Cypress College.

Paul D. Elliott joined Carriage in September 2012 as our Regional Partner – West and was promoted to Senior Vice President in February 2017. Prior to joining Carriage, Mr. Elliott served as a Managing Director for Service Corporation International (“SCI”). From February 1995 to August 2012, Mr. Elliott held various management roles in sales and operations within SCI. From September 1984 to December 1994, Mr. Elliott was a partner in his family’s funeral home in Kansas. Mr. Elliott is a graduate of the University of Kansas and the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.

Robbie has 30 years of industry experience, including positions in funeral/cemetery operations, finance, sales, systems, process improvement, and audit. Robbie spent her childhood moving every two years as the daughter of an Air Force Colonel. She is a Certified Public Accountant with a degree in Marketing and Information Systems from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She serves as President-Elect for the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (“ICCFA”) as well as being a member of the Finance Committee. Robbie is also active in the Cremation Association of North America and served as a board member until the fall of 2021.

René S. Negrete serves as our Vice President of Operations, having joined the Company in February 2026. Prior to joining Carriage, Mr. Negrete served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a leading cemetery and funeral company in the southern California market from 2021 to 2026. Prior to that, Mr. Negrete spent twelve years with Service Corporation International (“SCI”) where he served in various leadership roles including Director of PreNeed Sales for North America Sales. Mr. Negrete is actively involved in the International Cemetery Cremation Funeral Association (ICCFA) where he serves on the board of directors and is currently the Vice President of Education. Mr. Negrete received his B.A. in Communication from the University of Southern California and his M.S. in Management and Leadership from Pepperdine University.

Kathryn Shanley joined Carriage in March 2024 and serves as our Chief Accounting Officer. Prior to joining Carriage, Ms. Shanley served as the Assistant Vice-President and Assistant Controller for Service Corporation International (“SCI”) from 2014 to 2024 and Director of Operational Accounting from 2011-2014. Ms.Shanley joined SCI in 1994 and has held various roles of increasing responsibility over her thirty-year career, leading SCI’s financial reporting, general accounting, and auditing functions. Ms.Shanley is a Certified Public Account and has a M.S. and B.S. in Business Administration from LeTourneau University.

Rob Franch serves as our Chief Information Officer and joined Carriage in April of 2022. Prior to joining Carriage, Mr. Franch served as the Chief Technology Officer for Cushman & Wakefield from 2014 to 2022, where he led the Application, Infrastructure and Collaboration delivery to over 48,000 colleagues across 60 countries. Mr. Franch has also held previous senior leadership roles for AON Corporation, Bank of America, and LaSalle Bank. Mr. Franch is a graduate of the University of Iowa.
